Rowles joins a Super Kings side undergoing notable changes ahead of Season 5. West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard, purchased for R1.5 million, is among his new teammates at the Wanderers.

The franchise is also working under new coaching leadership. Albie Morkel has taken over from Stephen Fleming, who guided the team through Season 4 before accepting a role as England's Test coach.
