Orlando Pirates have moved their upcoming Betway Premiership clash against Durban City FC by a day as their packed schedule takes shape.
The match was initially set for Wednesday, 16 September 2026, but will now be played on Thursday, 17 September. Kick-off remains at 19:30 at the Orlando Amstel Arena.
The club confirmed the fixture adjustment on its official platforms. According to KickOff, the change allows Pirates additional preparation time while accounting for their demanding travel schedule on the continental stage.
Pirates juggling domestic and continental football
The Buccaneers enter the fixture with confidence after beating Kruger United FC 4-0 in their previous domestic match. They also edged Durban City 2-1 after extra time in the MTN8 quarter-finals earlier in the 2026/27 campaign.

However, their attention is currently on the CAF Champions League. Pirates are due to travel to Mauritius for their preliminary-round first leg against La Cure Waves on Sunday, 6 September.
The match at the Côte d'Or National Sports Complex is scheduled for 13:30 South African time.
Busy period ahead for Orlando Pirates
The extra day before the Durban City encounter gives Abdeslam Ouaddou's team more room between demanding commitments.
Pirates will hope to maintain their early-season momentum while managing the challenges of competing across multiple competitions.
