- In the video, the man informs the officers that a woman is being raped nearby and still the cops take no immediate action

- It has now been revealed that an internal investigation is being done to get to the bottom of the matter

South Africans have been left wallowing in disappointment after a clip was shared of a man desperately appealing to some Roodepoort police offers to get up from behind the comfort of a heater in the police station and help a woman that was being attacked by four rapists.

In the clip that was shared by Farah C Fortune on Twitter, the man records himself walking into the station where cops are basically asleep behind a heater. The man then asks the cops why they were not answering his calls to notify them that a woman was being raped by four men on a nearby corner.

"I've asked for your help, and you couldn't help me, I got into my car and drove here to tell you that they are raping a lady here on the corner of 7th Avenue and 7th Street and you refuse to speak to me," the concerned resident said.

The man then threatens to inform the station's commander while at the same time condemning the female officers who seem unbothered by the fact that "one of their sisters" is in need of dire help.

"You phone here, and they are sleeping - we are asking for help for a woman, a woman that is being raped and then these ladies can just sit here and hide in the back. That is how they stand up for their sister, their sister in need."

In a post that was originally made by a woman called Barbara Brown and reshared by a man with the Twitter handle @dollar_mashesha, it shared how the sleepy cop was one of the officers sent over to take statements after she and her staff were held up by armed thugs.
