A school teacher has commemorated this year's Children's Day with a surprising poem one of her pupils wrote.
The teacher, identified as Abolaji Ekundayo, shared the handwritten poem on Facebook and she described it as very beautiful.
Ekundayo said that she was blown away by the content of the poem and marvelled at the brilliance the little girl exhibited.
She stated that it was personal for her. The poem titled Live in Your World focused on issues of life and served to motivate its reader and put one on the right path.
Ekundayo wrote in part:
"She came towards my table with beaming eyes and high spirits, stretching her right hand forward to give me a sheet of paper. I received it gracefully and promised to read it while she quickly dashed out for the next period.
"Immediately, I read the poem and it was so beautiful; it also felt really personal. I could hear her tiny little voice and feel her heartbeat as she put down those uplifting words. I smiled for ear to ear and couldn't stop being amazed at the intellect and fascinating horizon of a Year 7 girl of 10.
"Later, when she returned to class and asked if I'd gone through it, I replied in the affirmative and complimented her writing prowess and deep reasoning."
Reacting to the poem, a Facebook user Shada Olayinka said:
"Wow! For a girl of 7, this is amazing. Our kids these days are something else... More grace."

Meanwhile, Briefly News previously reported that a man had dropped a surprising 'personal' note for his female boss as he quit his job as a security man.
She had, out of curiosity, opened the letter to find out he was quitting his security job to take on his academics.
What made her emotional in the 10-paragraphed letter was that the security man - who wasn't related to her in any way - appreciated her for all the care, love and kindness she showed him during the course of his work.
