Briefly.co.za reported that yesterday, Mabena took to Instagram to make a big announcement while driving, but was cut short by a loud sound as her windscreen appeared to shatter.

There has since been speculation that the entire incident was staged.

Shortly after the video was shared, author Jackie Phamotse posted a video begging people to help find Mabena. The video involves a tearful Phamotse, and had Mzansi social media users dismissing it as an attention seeking stunt.

Not a stranger to controversy, Phamotse recently lost a court case to Basetsana Kumalo. The author was sued after tweeting that she heard the TV mogul pleading with her friend to not release a scandalous video of her husband.

Phamotse has since deleted the video, but it was too late. Users had already shared it across social media, mocking her emotional pleas.
