It was an emotional moment for fans of the late iconic musician, HHP, when his son, Leano Khanye, received his Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Music Awards. Leano said a few very touching words.
HHP will forever be one of the most iconic musicians in the hip-hop genre. His music has inspired generations to come after him and his fans feel the Lifetime Achievement Award he was honoured with at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) was well-deserved.
Briefly.co.za reported earlier that HHP's firsts would be celebrated - everything from him being the first rapper to use a Kwaito beat to being the first artist to successfully have multiple sync deals.
HHP's son, Leano Khanye, was at the award ceremony to receive his dad's award and he gave a short speech that was really touching.
Leano said that receiving the award made him even prouder of his dad than he already is.
The youngster added that he wished Heaven had visiting hours so he could see his dad, but he thanked God for the award.
HHP would be proud of his son.
