SABC 3's 'Top Billing' gets the chop after 23 years on Mzansi's screens

The popular local lifestyle TV show, Top Billing, has been on South African screens for 23 years and it served as a motivation of what life could be like for many viewers.
However, as the SABC struggles to keep itself standing, it has decided to cancel the show.
Top Billing fans are devastated and upset - they feel like it is 'the end of an era'.

Briefly.co.za gathered that there has been no official announcement made yet, but News24 reported SABC spokesperson, Vuyo Mthembu, said the broadcaster would release a statement later today (17 October).
The final episode will be aired on Saturday, 19 October and it will be a nostalgic one.
The show will take a walk down memory lane and former host, Basetsana Kumalo, will appear as we take a look at her 25-year journey.
Apparently, re-runs of the show will be aired until 2020.
