- There are only 5 contestants left in the race to become South Africa's 2019 Idol
- Sneziey Msomi stole the show while Nolo Seodisha found himself in a bit of trouble
- Fans are out there defending their favourites and it's evident that Sneziey is a fan fave
Idols SA’s fiery top five took the stage last night to battle it out for a spot in the top four. Each contestant performed two songs in which they did the most to defend their places in the competition.
The final is approaching and with just five contestants left in the game, the competition is getting hella real.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the first songs sung by the top five were covers of their choice, while their second songs were chosen a little differently. Contestants paid respect to American producer and songwriter, Timbaland, by singing one of his tracks for their second song.
The top five is made up of Micayla Oelofse, Nolo Seodisha, Sneziey Msomi, Luyolo Yiba and Viggy Qwabe.
While Micayla seemed to have stolen the spotlight, judges felt that Sneziey, Viggy and Luyolo also came with the fire. Nolo found himself in a bit of a pickle as judges were not impressed with his pronunciation of the lyrics.
Viewers, on the other hand, have many different opinions that are not all in line with what the judges had to say. Sticking by their faves during crunch time, the public took to social media to defend the contestant they believe deserves a spot in the top four.
Sneziey is definitely a fan favourite!
