Masasa Mbangeni exits Scandal and fans mourn Thembeka Shezi’s passing

- Masasa Mbangeni made her second and final exit from Scandal! as Thembeka Shezi

- Shezi was killed off by her nemesis Mthunuzi Mayisa on Wednesday evening in a very dramatic exit scene

Masasa Mbangeni has left Scandal! fans mourning the loss of her infamous character Thembeka Shezi once again.

Fans get very invested in their soapies and character. So when one dies it feels like they have really lost someone they knew.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Masasa made her second exit from the widely loved e.tv soapie on Wednesday.

Masasa left the show back in 2016 and has now broken viewer’s hearts once again.

Shezi was killed off the show in a dramatic scene in which her rival Mthunzi Mayisa, played by Bongile Mantsai, shot her in cold blood.

Masasa took to social media to thank fans for their support and to part ways with her character Shezi.

“Friend she’s really gone. Dead dead! Won’t be coming back as a ghost (they didn’t teach me how to act a ghost at Wits) let’s leave her be now. Let’s allow me an opportunity to play other amazing wonderful things or be a mom or be something other than her. It’s OK. #etvScandal”

Distraught viewers took to social media to say their goodbyes. Many have been left in a bubble of pure disbelief and heartache. This is really goodbye…

There is no denying Shezi will be missed and that Scandal! fans will miss Masasa’s undeniably lit acting skills.
