- The media mogul was rocking a gorgeous blonde wig and looking noticeably lighter
- Bonang has denied the rumours and slammed the trolls who suggested that she is bleaching her skin
Bonang Matheba has had to dismiss rumours that she is bleaching her skin after she recently shared some pictures on social media. The media mogul was rocking beautiful blonde hair and looking noticeably lighter.
While many complimented the media personality on looking amazing, others questioned her new complexion.
Taking to Instagram, some social media users pressed her and wanted to know why she was suddenly looking so much lighter.
Her loyal BForce defended her with some explaining that it was the blonde hair colour that made her appear lighter. Bonang then responded and told her haters that her complexion is 100% natural. She said:
"Lol! Shame... ya’ll want me to bleach my skin so bad! Lol!”
What do you think?
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Bonang recently debuted gorgeous blonde hair but not everyone was loving her new look. Ntsiki Mazwai took to social media to take a not-so-subtle jab at the media mogul's gold locks.
Ntsiki Mazwai has always been an anti-weave and anti-wig girl. The poet made it clear that she did not approve of Bonang's hair, especially with the recent uproar after the retail store Clicks criticised ethnic hair. Read more:
Mazwai took to Twitter and posted:
"Lol, same people crying Clicks must fall YESTERDAY are TODAY hailing a blonde weave. I'm off Twitter today. You guys are a joke."
In similar news, Khanyi Mbau has been bringing sexy back since she stepped on the scene over a decade ago. However, the beauty has gotten lighter and lighter over the years. The singer and actress is unapologetic about lightening her skin, but has definitely received her fair share of flack for the controversial choice. Khanyi recently took to Instagram to explain why she decided to lighten her skin.
In essence, Khanyi said she did it for professional reasons. The star believes that her current skin tone results in less time being spent in the make-up chair and less work for the lighting crew. Khanyi posted an hour-long Instagram TV video, which can be seen on her Instagram page @mbaureloaded, explaining everything.
