In an even more impressive twist, the artist had only been doing the string art technique for a short time and had taught herself how to do it. Somizi explained in the video:

“So, this beautiful young talented South African, look what she did ... she is self-taught and she started practising during Covid-19.”

Somizi was blown away and his gift was a portrait of himself done entirely in string art as well as another piece that had his cookbook next to string art of the letter 'S'.

The footage the star posted shows him continuing to praise the artist and saying things like:

“She made this portrait using strings, like strings. So, I'm here at the meeting with Theo at Bathu and I get this beautiful surprise. Like guys, God is beautiful and God exists. Like, this is God's given talent. Look at this! Just strings ah a. What a talent!”
