South African rugby publication SA Rugby Magazine also reported the development, describing Kolisi as having landed a new role with SuperSport.
Canal+ Africa and SuperSport connection
The appointment comes amid an evolving relationship between Canal+ and SuperSport. In March 2026, SuperSport reported that SA Rugby and the CANAL+ Group had discussed a continued partnership involving SuperSport.
CANAL+ also confirmed in June that its agreement with the National Soccer League would continue to bring Premier Soccer League matches to SuperSport on DStv across sub-Saharan Africa.
Kolisi is already familiar to SuperSport audiences. In 2024, he joined SuperSport as an official brand ambassador.
The latest announcement gives Kolisi another platform alongside his playing career. However, Canal+ Africa has not yet publicly detailed his specific ambassadorial duties or the duration of the programme.
Dan Biggar puts a points value on Siya Kolisi’s leadership
Briefly News previously reported that former Wales and British & Irish Lions flyhalf Dan Biggar was full of praise for Siya Kolisi after the Springbok captain’s performance against the All Blacks in Cape Town.
Biggar argued that Kolisi’s influence extends well beyond his captaincy, placing a significant value on the leadership and energy he brings to the Springboks. His comments came after South Africa’s 33-26 victory over New Zealand.
