Somizi Mhlongo gets to add a new accolade to his already sizeable list of achievements since his cookbook has officially claimed a number one bestseller spot.
The cookbook Dinner At Somizi's - I Am Not A Chef has topped the South African chart of bestselling books in the food and beverage category.
The star was overjoyed at the news and took to his social media to pen a lengthy statement about dreams and express his gratitude.
Somgaga posted the news about his bestselling book to Instagram and his caption described how proud he was of the achievement.
He also mentioned the number two spot on the list was held by one of his icons, Jamie Oliver, and described how the well-known cook had inspired him to pursue his own culinary dreams.
Somizi also expressed how grateful he was for everyone who had supported his vision and all the people who went out and purchased it:
"...and to everyone who has bought the book and to all who are still gonna buy the book. I'm so proud of myself for believing in myself and released my first of many self published books. God you are good all the time. Here's to more number 1s..."
