DJ Fresh denies sexual assault accusations, encourages victims to report crimes

- The veteran radio presenter was accused of raping four women along with a fellow industry peer

- Fresh denied the accusations and said he did not know the women, he further encouraged all GBV victims to seek legal help

DJ Fresh has finally spoken out about the recent sexual abuse allegations levelled against him.

The muso has been trending on social media for the last three days after a social media user (@Nampree) accused him of sexually assaulting her and three other women.

Fresh did not respond to the tweep on social media but instead broke his silence to the media. Speaking to IOL, DJ Fresh denied the claims. He said that he was hurt that he was in the same position of refuting allegations again.

He told the publication that he does not know any of the women accusing him. The DJ said that this was likely the price he was paying for being in the public eye.

Fresh went on to discuss the worrying trend of gender-based violence in the country and how false accusations were making things worse.

"Each time someone succumbs to the temptation of using GBV to further personal agendas, the cause to eradicate this scourge takes a step backwards.“

Fresh encouraged victims of GBV to lay charges against their abusers.

"Pursuing the matter through a legal and criminal process is the best way to ensure that you get the protection you need.”

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that DJ Fresh was not about to be left out of the social media trend that has Mzansi in hysterics and he added his own submission to the #DuduzaneChallenge.

The challenge involves imitating a video of an entrance and walk by Duduzane Zuma and his entourage and online users have jumped right in with videos of themselves copying the actions.

DJ Fresh posted himself doing the challenge and followers took to the comments section to add their take to the media personality's version of the challenge.

Fresh's followers loved his version of the #DuduzaneChallenge and many thought his crew nailed the swagger so perfectly that they couldn't even tell who was playing Duduzane:
