Mariah Carey is world-renowned for her singing abilities and also for being a diva who knows when and how to dish out the sass.
The star recently shaded outgoing US president Donald Trump by posting an internet meme of herself.
The meme was made up of a caption saying "GTFO" and a GIF of the star herself mouthing the words "Get The F*ck Out", presumably referring to Donald Trump getting out of the White House and American politics in general.
After Mariah's tweet bid goodbye, her fans caught on and began spreading it around the internet, applauding her world-class shade.
The GIF was actually taken from Mariah's own song 'GTFO' and the reference only made fans love the moment more.
Many took to their own social media accounts to express similar sentiments about the outgoing president as well as cheering on Mariah's meme:
@ElleKay13: "Mimi with the classy shade, darling! Yessss!"
@justicexlambily: "Mariah Carey got back on Twitter just to throw shade at Donald Trump haha"
@grdymc: "The queen of shade is back."

@PereyraLaw: "The Queen Crown has spoken ! Love the shade by Mariah Carey"
@borkowskijason: "Couldn't @ his account because he is banned. We love the shade!!"
In other international celebrity-related news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on Lady Gaga calling for peace ahead of the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Lady Gaga is at the US Capitol to join the host of Hollywood and music industry A-listers who are set to perform at the event.
The musician and Oscar-winner took to social media ahead of the big day to plead for peace from the site which recently dominated headlines around the world after it housed scenes of violence and insurrection.
Gaga plead for peace in her caption as well as wrote that she was praying for the inauguration to mark the beginning of an era of hope and love for the American people.
Her caption read:
"I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol"
Lady Gaga has been an avid supporter of the Biden-Harris administration and participated in campaign events for them during the election so was an obvious choice to be part of the event.
The picture Gaga paired with her call for peace was one that encapsulated the grandeur of the Capitol building and showed her in a praying stance. She wore a white outfit to drive the message of peace as well as to echo the symbolic suffragette-white that Vice-President-Elect Kamala Harris wore for her own victory speech.
