A young South African woman, Hanlie Liebenberg recently headed to Facebook's ImStaying to share a heartfelt post about another lady called Varanna who had helped her out after a man was making her feel uncomfortable.
"I went to the licensing office today, and would have had the worst experience today if it wasn't for dear #Varana! I was standing in the queue, but the man in front of me was making me feel really uncomfortable, staring, and refusing to face the front.
"After a while of being really uncomfortable, and not wanting to make a scene, I started to leave two social distancing spaces between us when moving forward, just to be further away from him. Varana was standing behind me. After a while I apologised to Varana, explaining that I left a huge gap between me and the man in front of me because he made me feel so uncomfortable - and that's when this beautiful soul stepped up to the plate.
"At this stage, we were inside the building, with the queue going zig-zag across the floor, and Varana would lean forward onto the railing, to obscure the man's view between me and him, just so I could relax,"she wrote.
She then goes on to thank Varanna for helping her and soon locals joined in on thanking Varanna. Read their comments below:
