"Brandon Petersen has earned the right to be given enough time to recover from his current poor run of form," Anuma said.
However, the analyst made clear that the goodwill extended to Petersen has limits. "Da Cruz needs to find a solution to Brandon's mistakes or, better still, try one of Bruce Bvuma or Renaldo Leaner if the captain fails to improve in the next two games," Anuma added.
The comments point to growing scrutiny around Petersen's position between the posts, with both Bvuma and Leaner identified as viable alternatives should his form not recover swiftly.
