Could Gqeberha be next on Cassper Nyovest's Fill Up map? The Tito Mboweni hitmaker has opened up about the possibility of taking his iconic concert series to the Eastern Cape after a fan planted an irresistible seed online.

On 11 September 2026, fans reached out to Mufasa suggesting he organise a December show in the province. He initially pushed back, reminding supporters that event planning comes with a hefty price tag and that he had only recently cleared debt from staging Fill Up Toyota Stadium. But then a follower changed the angle of the conversation entirely, pointing out that the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha would be a natural fit, given how passionately the region supports him.

Mufasa once drew 68,000 people to FNB Stadium in 2017 and 55,000 to Moses Mabhida Stadium in 2018, two of the largest crowds in his Fill Up history.

After being shown images of the venue, the rapper admitted the idea had genuinely never occurred to him before.

"Yoh, that looks big! Pause! It is tempting though. Y'all think I could sell out a stadium in the Eastern Cape? I have never ever thought of that."

Fill Up legacy that changed SA live music

Cassper Nyovest launched the Fill Up franchise in 2015 by selling out the 20,000-capacity Ticketpro Dome without a single international headliner on the bill. That achievement fundamentally shifted the conversation around South African hip-hop's commercial power, proving that a homegrown act could command arena-scale audiences entirely on their own terms.

Whether the Eastern Cape chapter actually materialises remains to be seen, but the fact that Cassper is entertaining the thought at all has his fanbase buzzing.
