Briefly.co.za previously reported that South African born football coach Pitso Mosimane's Egyptian team Al Ahly just missed the opportunity to play in the Fifa World Cup finals after they suffered a thorough defeat at the hands or rather feet of Bayern Munich at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Monday this week.

While many hopes were high after Mosimane was able to get the team to the semi-finals, it was soon deflated as Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski scored the first goal against Al Ahly in the first 17 minutes of the game.

While the Egyptian side tried valiantly to stand their ground, the team suffered a big blow when Ali Ma’aloul got injured and was replaced by Yasser Ibrahim. Not too long thereafter Lewandowski was back at it and scored yet another brilliant goal, securing the win for the European champions.
