DJ Fresh and Euphonik were cleared of any wrongdoing after their rape cases were dismissed by the court.

However, the DJ is still doing the most to prove his innocence in the court of public opinion. Taking to social media, DJ Fresh posted a statement from his accuser's star witness.

The witness denied being present at the time of the alleged rape and refuted the claims made by the alleged victim, Ms Madikizela.

He posted:

“Nampree’s friend and “star witness” also confirms under oath that this is a lie.”

Social media users had mixed responses to his revelation. Twitter user Embo6087 said:

“We would actually believe you if this was the first ever allegation against you.”

Angelicprime said:

“So basically, the alleged claimed she was with the room mate, the room mate said under oath she wasn't there. So, with all Intent and purposes it speaks on the character of the accuser for not telling the truth which in turn makes her unreliable.”

Modriekop said:

“The statement doesn’t say it never happened but just say she was never there, therefore doesn’t have any knowledge of the incident.”

Jazzylakudura said:

“Wabona if that were be case and true, then I think he needs to open a case against this woman, not just sue....we really cannot conquer GBV if we have such situations...”

Princess_Bassie said:

“Yesterday it was the aunt that said she is a pathological liar, you were asked to release the name, today you come up with another story about the friend. Is tomorrow gonna be a distant cousin?”

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that Mzansi DJ's Fresh and Euphonik have had their rape case set aside. DJ Euphonik released a statement on February 15. According to Euphonik, the sexual assault claim was investigated by the authorities and it was found that the allegations are without merit.

"As we've said before, these are false allegations and we are deeply saddened that GBV, a serious crisis in South Africa, was weaponised in this manner," said Euphonik.

The Mzansi record producer thanked his family, friends supporters and their legal team.

South Africans were outraged when the allegations against Fresh and Euphonik were made. The timeline went into a frenzy after the woman tweeted that she had been allegedly sexually abused by the two.

Social media users reacted to the statement that Euphonik posted to his Twitter account. Take a look at some of the reactions below:
