MacG is enjoying the fruit of being ‘cancelled’. After the controversial podcast host was called out for transphobic content in a recent podcast, he was dropped by Old Mutual and suspended by Super Bets.

This led to MacG clapping back at mob for selective outrage.

It seems MacG has bounced back and successfully landed a partnership with a new sponsor, Studio88, according to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela.

Mphela tweeted:

“Mac G scores new deal & his channel numbers soar. The Mac G Podcast has nabbed Studio 88 as a new partner. His channel is getting 600 average daily subs & got a 30 day boost of 19k new subs. His biggest day was Feb 9th, where he earned over 4000 new subs.”

“MacG was sitting in his corner there, away from the lime light enjoying his time with people who understood him and his content. Someone decided to come after him kanti they are giving him more airtime. He must finish them.”

“This is what I want for everyone attacked by black Twitter. When they pray for your downfall, soar higher than the eagles. We all make mistakes, why must you pay for your error with your bread? It's already so hard to make a decent living in SA. No one must lose their jobs.”

The star called out activists, especially Mzansi celebs, who cancel people who are not close to them but keep quiet when other celebs within their circle are being dragged on social media.

MacG and his crew were called out by celebs such as Thando Thabethe and Rami Chuene when they were dragged for making insensitive jokes about the LGBTQI+ community.

"These celebrities jump on because they just wanna trend and jump on whatever outrage is happening at the time."

MacG slammed Thando Thabooty for not saying anything when DJ Fresh was trending a few weeks back when a woman accused him of raping her. MacG believes Thando should have called Fresh out because she's a GBV activist.

He told her to be consistent. MacG even went as far as saying the stunner should stick to "posting nudes on Instagram" because her podcast numbers are "horrible".
