One of the seven men standing trial for the murder of rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes nodded off in court as graphic slow-motion shooting footage was presented as evidence. The moment, captured on camera inside the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Durban, sparked fury online after News24 shared footage of the proceedings on Monday, 26 October 2026.

Accused Malusi Ndimande was filmed with his head resting on the judge's bench, apparently asleep, while CCTV surveillance footage of the fatal shooting played on a TV screen in the courtroom. The remaining six accused watched the footage without any visible reaction, according to court reports.
