South African influencer Cindy Makhathini has broken her silence after a gossip page stirred up speculation about who she is currently dating, forcing her to address what she called outright lies about her love life.
Taking to her TikTok page on 25 October 2026, Makhathini spoke directly to her followers about the unwanted exposure of her current partner. The influencer explained that while she and her boyfriend do acknowledge each other online, she had made a deliberate choice to keep his face out of the public eye.
"I wasn't ready to post him like that. Yes, he posts me, I do too, but I don't show his face," she said.
The drama began when a gossip account suggested that Makhathini had rekindled things with her ex Amapiano DJ and producer Felo Le Tee. She was quick to shut down that narrative, making clear that she has fully moved on from that chapter of her life.

What frustrated her even further was the gossip page's response after being corrected. Rather than pulling the post or offering an apology, the page instead pivoted, writing: "Meet Cindy Makhathini's other boyfriend."

Inside Cindy Makhathini and Felo Le Tee's relationship
Makhathini and Felo Le Tee had gone public with their romance in May 2024, only for the influencer to announce their separation just a month later, opening up about how difficult that period was for her emotionally.
"The past weeks, the past month has been hard for me, like to a point where I'd go through a lot and then I'd call my dad and be like 'Dude, I am not okay.' I think that's why I went home; I was like, I need to go home and be fine," she said in 2024.
When their relationship was first revealed, Makhathini faced significant backlash online, with many social media users expressing that the Yebo Lapho hitmaker deserved to be with someone of a different calibre.
The influencer has previously been linked to several prominent figures, including former Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba and Tumelo Ramaphosa, the son of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
