Helmet-wearing music duo, Daft Punk, have decided to part ways after a successful 28-year music career.
The Grammy award-winning artists comprising of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo made the announcement in an 8-minute video titled Epilogue.
Bangalter and de Homem-Christo had quite a successful music career winning six Grammy Awards and launching international hits with Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, Get Lucky and One More Time.
According to USA Today, the band’s longtime publicist, Kathryn Frazier, confirmed the break up for The Associated Press.
The duo - prior to Daft Punk - had formed an indie rock band named Darling, after first meeting at a Paris school in 1987.
They officially formed Daft Punk in 1993, and released their debut album, Homework, in 1997.
Their song, Da Funk, was an international hit that topped the Billboard dance charts and earned them their first Grammy nomination. A second No. 1 hit and Grammy nomination followed with Around the World.
