Dreams do most times come true for people. This is the case for a young lady, Taylor Denise Andrews, who recently got accepted into a neuroscience doctorate degree program.

Sharing a kid photo of herself, Taylor said that she has been dreaming of one day becoming a doctor since she was 12 years old.

To back up her claim, the PhD student's throwback snap has her standing in front of a whiteboard with the word "Dr Taylor Denise Andrews" written atop her head.

Many were wowed that she worked hard so she could achieve her childhood dream. Taylor in a subsequent tweet thanked all those who wished her well.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za earlier reported that a Nigerian woman, Itunu Grace Akinwande, became a "celebrity" online after she announced on her LinkedIn page that she bagged PhD in mathematics from Universität Osnabrück in Germany.

A mother of two, Itunu said it was not an easy journey as she had to balance parenting with schooling.

She, however, added that the big support she got from everyone close to her made the whole task bearable. According to her, her supervisor was really helpful.
