Eddie Murphy has thanked South African comedian Trevor Noah for being part of Coming 2 America.
The US actor was a guest on Trevor's show called The Daily Social Distancing Show recently. Eddie thanked Trevor for being part of the cast of the recently released movie.
Trevor played the role of news anchor Totatsi Bibiyana in the epic film. The sequel of Coming to America had a star-studded cast including the likes of Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, Arsenio Hall and Teyana Taylor.
South African-born Nomzamo Mbatha was also part of the movie. She portrayed the character of Mirembe.
This was the first time that the host of The Daily Show took on the role of presenting the world’s most prestigious music event. His debut was a big success, if reactions online are anything to go by.
During his monologue, Noah cracked a few jokes and concluded by saying:
"Tonight, we’re hoping that this is all about what 2021 can be, full of joy, new beginnings and coming together — never forgetting what happened in 2020, but full of hope for what is to come."
Instagram user CulpritEnter said:
"Trevor so far gone; him hosting the Grammys is not something people even hype up."
"Trevor Noah is... getting even hotter. Help."
Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that Trevor Noah has bought a new house for the whopping amount of $27.5 million (over R400 million).
The 36-year-old South African comedian purchased the Bel-Air mansion after a Los Angeles architect named Mark Rios designed and built it for himself. The massive home features six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Luxuries including an infinity pool, a screening room, a spa and steam room and a rooftop area for entertaining.
