Somizi is never short of a story, but this one landed differently. During a sit-down interview at the Metro FM studios, the media personality got candid about his love life, recounting two separate moments abroad where he let his guard down and paid the emotional price for it.

Speaking into the studio microphone with animated hand gestures and a light, self-deprecating energy, Somizi described a solo trip he took through Europe, visiting Paris, Monaco, Italy and Switzerland. It was in Paris where things took an unexpected turn.

He told the interviewer that he met someone spontaneously in the French capital and that the man made his entire Paris stay feel like a film. "Romantic everything," he recalled. But on the final night, as the two parted ways outside his hotel, Somizi chose honesty over composure. He told the man he had developed feelings and asked where things could go. The response was immediate and blunt:

"Uncatch them, please."

The man then revealed he was married, but explained that his partner had also been away on holiday at the time, so he had considered them both "single" during the trip. Somizi said he respected the honesty and moved on, though not without a second story to follow.

He went on to describe another encounter, again after a single night together, where he looked the man in the eye and said, “I love you." The response this time was equally pointed. The man took his hand and said, "I'm proud of you," before reflecting that his own heart had been through too much.

Mohale left fans worried after living a quiet life

Social media is curious about Mohale Motaung's whereabouts, suspecting that the influencer may have quietly gone off the radar.

Despite still being active on social media and collaborating with brands, many people argued that he wasn't getting as much publicity as he was when he was married to Somizi Mhlongo.
