Zonke Mchunu nearly lost her eye when a crazed Muvhango fan attacked her recently. The angry fan thought the actress was a homewrecker in real life.
She was at a mall when she was attacked by the angry female viewer a few days ago. The stunner plays the character of Imani in the SABC 2 telenovela.
Imani is notorious in the show for being a homewrecker. Imani recently broke James' engagement to Marang. This was not the first relationship she has broken in the soapie.
The viewer took the storyline to another level when she manhandled Zonke at the parking lot of the mall. Zonke told Sunday World that she laughed at first when the lady approached her.
She told the publication she thought the lady was someone who likes the show and was just referring to her character. The actress said she realised the woman, with sharp nails, meant business when she nearly poked her eye.
"I was lucky when a gentleman approached and asked what was going on."
In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that Siyabonga Shibe has bagged a new role on Rockville. Shona Ferguson took to Instagram recently and shared a snap of himself, Siyabonga, Thuli Phongolo and former Isibaya actor Nhlanhla Mdlalose.
Shona, who is the show's producer, revealed that they were on set of the Mzansi Magic drama series, Rockville. Siyabonga left popular SABC 1 soapie Uzalo recently.
He played the role of pastor Qhabanga in the most-watched Mzansi telenovela. The talented actor has now landed another role in the upcoming 5th season of Rockville.
