Akon Arrives in Uganda to Speak Business with President Museveni

- Musician Akon is in Uganda; he arrived in the landlocked country on April 2

- He was received by one of the officials of President Yoweri Museveni's advisory team and artist Eddy Kenzo

- He is expected to meet with the president and hold talks on how the artist can invest in the country

Senegalese-American artiste Aliaune Damala Badara popularly known as Akon has arrived in Uganda, where he is expected to meet with the country's president Yoweri Museveni and talk about business matters.

The Lonely songmaker arrived in the landlocked country on April 2 and he was received by one of the president's advisors and Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo.

The singer, who has a keen interest in Africa, is expected to have talks with President Museveni on issues to do with tourism, energy and other infrastructure development areas.

In January 2021, the celebrity's wife visited Uganda when she also held talks with the president.

The singer is reported to be searching for investment opportunities that will solidify his footprint in the continent.

Uganda's ministry of foreign affairs announced Akons' arrival.

''What kind of business is he going to create in Uganda apart from dealing with dictator Museveni to kill and arresting Bobi Wine's people and yes to embezzling Uganda's minerals?''

Minutes before publishing this piece, president Yoweri Museveni shared a picture of himself and his wife meeting Akon and his beautiful wife.

Briefly.co.za also reported that American-Senegalese R&B singer Akon is making some serious money moves. The singer has recently signed a deal to enter into the mining sector in Congo along with another state miner.

In the last few years, Akon has entered into various business deals and philanthropic projects in Africa. He has invested $6 billion in a futuristic city in Senegal and started a cryptocurrency called Akoin.

Congo is an African country that is rich in resources and Akon is going to be taking advantage. Congo is Africa's top producer of copper and is the leading miner of cobalt in the world.
