Mzwandile Ngubeni is officially the new host of Love Back as the show returns for its fifth season.
Mzwandile Ngubeni will be digging deep into communities and relationships in hopes "try to fix the nation one couple at a time through love" on the popular relationship show. The show aims to give people a chance to get back their lost lives.
Mzwandile returns on local screens after a short stint on soapie The River, which marked his return from a five-year hiatus since he last played Vuyo Vilakazi on the eTV drama Umlilo.
His television career stems from way back in 1994 as a presenter on a youth infotainment talk show Word Power. Over the years he has steered his career from presenting shows and award ceremonies to acting in soapies, local dramas and feature films.
Speaking to Briefly News, Ngubeni said:
“Reality TV is the new way of us as practitioners to do our part in nation-building. I have always aligned myself with purpose-driven projects. 'Love Back' is that for me as Mzwandile Ngubeni.”
Love Back is on every Tuesday at 8pm on DStv Channel 161.
Meanwhile, Briefly News previously reported that socialite Shauwn Mkhize made her debut on the SABC1 soapie Uzalo last night.
The announcement of her being cast on the show was met with mixed reactions from viewers. This made the anticipation to see what she would bring to the screen higher.
Social media users took to Twitter to share their thoughts about her first appearance.
Twitter user skhuw said:
