AKA’s late fiancée, Nelli Tembe’s memorial was held yesterday, 15 April and friends and family all took their time to pay their respects. It was a heavy and hard day for them all.
Nelli’s tragic passing has left a gaping hole in AKA’s heart. The memorial was streamed live so that all who cared about Nelli could join in.
One of AKA’s very close friends, Jabu Nkabinde, stood up at the Tembe household in KwaZulu-Natal to share a heart-warming tribute to Nelli. Hearing what Jabu had to say, there is no denying that AKA and Nelli loved one another dearly and that she was part of everything in AKA’s world.
Jabu explained how Nelli was not only AKA’s fiancée but his friend too.
“We were here three weeks ago for lobola negotiations and when we got here the warmth we received from the Tembe family made me realise why Nelli was the person she is. She was warm and loving, a testament to where she comes from.
It was touching to hear Jabu express how Nelli did her best to love the ones AKA loved as they became her friends and family too.
“Nelli was brilliant in the kitchen. I saw a Nigella or a Siba in her. She not only loved Kiernan but extended that love to all those he loved.”
May her soul rest in peace.
Briefly New previously reported that Anele Nelli Tembe’s passing has not only affected fans, friends and family but the staff of the Pepperclub Hotel too.
The hotel is now counselling the staff members who witnessed the horrific incident. While it has not been revealed whether Nelli’s death was an accident, deliberate on her part or murder, investigations are ongoing and the hotel is involved. Staff are being questioned and are under a lot of stress.
Pepperclub Hotel general manager Efi Ella told TshisaLIVE that the hotel was offering affected staff members counselling to deal with the trauma. The counselling is being offered to all staff members, not only those who witnessed the incident or had a direct relation to it.
