A series of photos of a primary health centre built with sandbags have created much buzz online as people had a lot to say about the structure.
The snaps were shared by a man named Ganiyu Olatunde Akintayo on LinkedIn who said the construction is a maternity ward in Chad.
One of the pictures showed men inserting bags of sands like blocks to lay the foundation for the building.
Another has the men placing the bags on each other to form a round-like building. The end result of the craftmanship looks stunningly white. One may easily mistake it for a house constructed with blocks.
Ganiyu wrote:
"The people of #Katafa in Chad built a maternity hospital based on desert sand. Like what, you have to know how to use your difficulties as assets."
Briefly News compiled some of the reactions to the work:

"Why are we content with mediocrity?!!. Francafrique still has a bright future... Instead of being shocked by the sanitary conditions that go with it, we prefer to talk about engineering, ecology... The pseudo president has just been assassinated, the son has just been confirmed by France. And we talk about genius with sandbags... After that, we want to be respected by other peoples on this earth... "

"Wow! it is just great!"

"Waiting for everything to get back to normal in this region."
Meanwhile, Briefly News earlier reported that a civil engineer, Ahmed Yahaya, who became popular after using thousands of bottles to build a house spoke more about what influenced his decision to go through with that kind of recycling.
The man said he used pet bottles to design the house in an African round shape, such that there are three rooms that could be used for different purposes.
