Gqom artists Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo got married over the weekend and it was beautiful, however their age difference was put in the spotlight by social media users.
It's not a secret that Mampintsha is a lot older than Babes but fans were shocked when they realised just how much. The couple has been together for 10 years and their age difference is 12 years.
Fans started to point out that if they started going out when Babes was 16, this means that Mampintsha was 28 when he approached her. Social media users condemned this and accused Mampintsha of grooming her.

A video of Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo’s mother has been circulating on social media. In the footage, the woman holds nothing back as she tears into Mampintsha’s new wife, Bongekile ‘Babes Wodumo’ Simelane.
The elderly woman accused Babes Wodumo of using her son and turning him against her. She went on to claim that Babes was faking her pregnancy and was in fact using a 'sponge' to make her belly appear bigger.
