Veteran Mzansi thespian Vusi Kunene is set to bid farewell to Generations: The Legacy with a dramatic exit this week.

The talented actor, who plays the role of villain Jack Mabaso in the soapie, has been with the show for the past five years.

Kunene's fans will get the last chance to watch their fave portray the role of Jack when he exits the show this coming Wednesday, 12 May.

TshisaLIVE reports that Kunene said playing the role of Jack Mabaso has been thrilling for him. In a statement shared with the publication, Kunene expressed that it has been a pleasure for him "to breathe life into the character" of Jack.

The telenovela's producer Karen Vundla said they are incredibly sad to see Kunene go but they wish him all the best in the new projects he chooses to pursue.

Generations: The Legacy took to Instagram on Tuesday, 11 May and shared a teaser of Jack Mabaso shedding a tear while telling his henchman about his disturbing dreams. Along with a crying face emoji, the soapie captioned the post:

"Oh Mbulazi! #GenerationsTheLegacy."

In related news, Briefly News reported that Generations: The Legacy actress Zwovulea Nenungwi took to social media recently to gush about her love for her acting career.

The actress, who plays the role of Nurse Betty on the telenovela, said she's happy with the way things are going currently. She said her job comes with a lot of stress and may complicated and difficult sometimes.

"I woke up this morning and realised that I have chosen the most difficult and complicated career ever. And sometimes it can be draining emotionally. But I had yo remind myself of the dream, the purpose and the goal. And I smiled."

Zwovulea posted a snap of herself in full uniform. She was on set of the SABC 1 soapie when she took the pic. Her fans shared mixed thoughts on her post. Most of the show's viewers praised her for her acting skills and the way she portrays her role.
