Grammy Award winner Burna Boy set the stage on fire at the DStv Delicious Festival on Saturday. Burna was the event's headliner and his anticipated return to the country after vowing never to return following the 2019 xenophobic attacks.

Festival goers posted receipts of the amazing night and felt Burna's performance compensated for the terrible festival organized by DStv. Attendees complained about being in the queue for as long as two hours.

The hitmaker was worth the wait as South Africans raved about his stage presence and the songs he performed.

Burna gave a shout-out to his South African fans on Twitter for the great night and shared some pictures.

Here are some of his fan's comments:

@Nthaby2020 tweeted:

"Burna Boy must just do his own concert in SA, maybe 3 cities."

@ImohUmoren wrote:

"Burna Boy single-handedly repairing the Nigeria-SA relationship. Clear of our Foreign Ministry, I’m afraid."

@benny7gg said:

"Burna Boy performing Last Last live in South Africa has to be the most iconic thing to ever happen to Africa."

@JessicaHeidi5 commented:

"Thank you for being the artist that you’re. Since Lil Wayne, you’re the biggest natural ever to do music. Thank you for effortlessly being Burnaboy!"

@captainpzzle posted:

"I will cherish this moment forever. THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU!"

@Queenin_M tweeted:

"Burnaboy is giving us the quality we deserve."

AKA responds to calls to stop Burna Boy from performing in SA after their 2019 feud: “Why would I do that?”

In related topics, Briefly News reported that South Africans took to the AKA's page to task him with stopping the highly anticipated show scheduled for September this year.

Peeps feel after the heated exchange between the former besties over xenophobic attacks in 2019 that the Grammy Award-winning star doesn't have a right to set foot in Mzansi.
