PNC host Mpho Popps and his lovely wife Latoyah Mei-Modikoane took things to a whole other level in their relationship. The lovely couple hosted what looks like a wedding ceremony,

Draped in isiXhosa regalia, the couple, who earlier this year marked 15 years together, looked ecstatic as they joined hands to celebrate their love.

Musa Khawula sparks outrage with post about Mpho Popps's daughter

The timeline is divided concerning what the ceremony was, as some called it a wedding, while others argued that it might have been a Xhosa ceremony called iLwamkelo lwabaYeni, which is a tradition done to welcome the groom's family.

Other people were confused based on the assumption that they had already been married for two years.

Below are some of the reactions:

@McFumbata corrected:

"This is not necessarily a wedding, but it is called iLwamkelo lwabaYeni, the welcoming of the groom at the bride’s family. Now his family can officially attend imicimbi at the bride’s family, because they have officially welcomed them via this ceremony."

@Ngwenya_PJ argued:

"We must cease to call African weddings traditional weddings. They are weddings, full stop. That European one is the one that deserves a prefix because it’s foreign."

@lebop012 asked:

"Wasn't this guy already married? Or is he getting married again?"

"Everyone looked beautiful."

@Msimelelo asked:

"Why are they wearing Xhosa attire? Are any of them of Xhosa descent? What’s the connection? I think for your own wedding, you stick to your traditional wear. You can cross over when supporting friends, no problem there?"

@xolly_mathafeni replied:

"The wife is Xhosa, when he was standing for Mac G on Monday's ep on the podcast and chill, he did say they will be having this ceremony "ulwamkelo lwabakhwenyana/umkhwenyan"

@MissveeNg said:

"Yhooo hayi! Imagine wearing a Zulu traditional wear kodwa, you’re both Tswana."

@Linekela_Simon gushed:

"I thought they were already married.. Congratulations."

@SpoiltHousewife stated:

"Yho Xhosa traditional attire is insanely beautiful. Like what do you mean?"
