Hollywood actor Richard T. Jones is heading to South Africa for the very first time, and fans of the beloved Why Did I Get Married trilogy have every reason to mark their calendars. The American star has been confirmed as an international guest at Comic Con Africa 2026, with appearances scheduled across the entire convention weekend.

Best known locally for playing Mike in Tyler Perry's romance drama trilogy Why Did I Get Married?, Jones has been a recognisable face in Hollywood for 33 years. His breakthrough came even earlier, with a role as Ike Turner Junior in the biographical drama What's Love Got to Do with It? He also appeared in Rick Famuyiwa's coming-of-age film The Wood (1999), playing Laveinio 'Slim' Hightower, and took on the role of Captain Russell Hampton in the 2014 blockbuster Godzilla.
