Lesiba Tleane has wasted no time reclaiming his "King of Lifestyle" title. The former Married at First Sight Mzansi groom posted a video of himself partying with DJ Tira on 3 October 2026, just days after his televised split from bride Matshediso Maphutse played out in the season finale.

The caption on the post read "The king is back," while text overlaid on the footage declared "back to default settings" - a phrase that stung differently given what Matshediso had said on decision day.

What did Matshediso Maphutse say?

During the recommitment episode, Lesiba had made clear he wanted to continue building a future with Maphutse, emphasising that he saw "something there." She, however, had already made up her mind. Matshediso told him she could not invest emotionally in something she believed had no real future once the cameras stopped rolling.

"I can't walk into a future where, when the cameras are gone, we go back to the default settings where we won't talk, we won't see each other, where we slowly become strangers again."

Her frustration ran deeper than just the finale. She accused Lesiba of going completely silent for two full weeks leading up to decision day, with no check-ins or communication. "Dude, that's not love, and that's not the kind of relationship I want," she added.

Throughout the season, Matshediso had also raised concerns about Lesiba's party-heavy lifestyle, which saw him regularly staying out late and occasionally not returning to their shared home.
