Palesa Madisakwane, widely known as Somizi Mhlongo's baby mama, has broken her silence on one of the most personal chapters of her life, revealing that a frightening spiritual experience drove her to abandon her journey as a sangoma.

The confession came during a candid podcast-style sit-down on the *Engineer Your Life With Lungelo KM* channel, filmed in a warmly lit home setting on 6 October 2026. Palesa, who goes by the handle [@palesamad](https://www.instagram.com/palesamad/), recounted the moment she believed she stood at the edge of hell and chose to turn back to her Christian faith.

Palesa's Moment of Reckoning

At the heart of her testimony was a scene she described with striking clarity. While cutting a piece of traditional cloth, she reached for her Bible. When she opened it, a passage from the book of Matthew stopped her cold. The scripture, she explained, spoke about acknowledging Christ publicly or facing denial before God in return.

"I believe I saw hell. I believe I almost went into hell," she said, describing the weight of the moment. "I thought, 'Ah, Lord.' Then everything just started coming back, to say, 'Now you go and consult in the spirit of the dead.'"

She shared that the scripture made her feel as though she had turned her back on Christ, and that conviction pushed her to repent. "I said, 'Lord, I repent of my sins. I want to turn away from my sins. I ask God for forgiveness,'" Palesa recalled.

Not everyone was moved. @siya_dube1 pushed back, writing: "Here we go again Christian's so,so,so judgmental, they must really look in the mirror. Cherry-picking the bible and using it as a defence mechanism. If they really knew God, they would really understand his love for his people 😂😂❤️❤️"

@official_carol_motolo was more pointed in her critique: "Such people know what they signed up for and then accuse every other thing but take responsibility for what they did; it's a pity traditional healing is always painted in darkness"
