Activist Nomsa Mazwai has gone public with serious allegations against the South African Police Service, claiming that a case she opened against DJ Black Coffee has been deliberately buried. In a thread posted on X on 21 October 2026, she alleged that two separate dockets have disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and accused SAPS of being "bought."

Writing under her handle @nomisupasta, Mazwai addressed the police service directly, stating that her first docket was lost at the police station, while a second was mysteriously withdrawn with a false SMS sent to notify her. She added that 2.5 months had passed with no communication from authorities.

"Dear @SAPoliceService. You can be bought. Looks like you have been bought. I opened a case against Black Coffee. 1st docket, lost at the police station. 2nd docket, mysteriously withdrawn with false sms sent. 2.5 months later, dead silence.”

Mazwai confirmed she had escalated the matter to IPID, reporting both the unexplained delays and the missing docket. She said an investigation was opened but has since gone nowhere. "I have reported to @Ipid and reported unexplained delays as well as a lost docket. Opened investigation, then DOLOLO!" she wrote.
