South African influencer Austin, known online as @austin_xhh, has broken his silence following a chaotic few days that left his followers glued to their screens overnight. He went on to acknowledge that trust is not automatically given and that he had let many people down, adding:

"I am truly sorry to everyone who feels hurt, disappointed or let down by my behaviour. Your support means everything to me, and I don't take it for granted."

Sources close to Austin say he has since been spotted taking some time out in Durban, grabbing breakfast near the beach as a way of clearing his head. Those in his circle note that even his mother was not impressed, reportedly scolding him over the way he dealt with the situation. Her concern was straightforward: regardless of who may have wronged whom, the way Austin responded made it impossible for anyone on the outside to judge the situation fairly.
