Former Generations: The Legacy actor Nyaniso Dzedze recently opened up about playing the character of Nkosi on SABC1's educational soapie Skeem Saam.

Dzedze, who stars opposite Joseph Senatle on the soapie, reveals why he agreed to play the popular role.

The legendary actor, who's been receiving criticism on social media for his dodgy character, has recently been compared to Kgosi.

Dzedze shared in an interview with Daily Sun on Monday, 17 November 2025, that he was attracted to his character because of his desire to do good.

"Nkosi's intention to be good, his desire to do right by people and society," says the star.

The thespian adds that he spent a year declining roles that were shady or overtly bad.

The show previously shared on its X account, Nkosi and his on-screen lover, Khwezi, witnessed Lehasa and Peterson becoming bosom buddies.

Skeem Saam’s Lehasa and Pretty tie the knot

In more entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that Skeem Saam's popular characters, Pretty Seakamela and Lehasa Maphosa, tied the knot on the educational soapie.

An online user posted a picture of the characters in their traditional wedding attire, which quickly went viral online.

Many netizens flooded the comment section of the soapie with their reactions to the popular characters getting married.
