A Johannesburg night out at Gold Reef City looked like a whole lot of fun. TikTok creator @originalmnh posted a night vlog on 3 October 2026, taking followers inside the Gold Reef City Night Market and showing off everything the festively lit theme park had to offer after dark.

The vlog had it all: amusement park rides, carnival stalls glowing with lights, live music performances on stage and a stretch of food vendors catering to every craving.

Food reviews and honest takes

The food was clearly a highlight of the evening. The content creator worked his way through fresh coconut cocktails, a serving of spiced chips and shawarmas from a vendor called Uncle Faouzi, and rated the beef option above the chicken. The most talked-about moment, however, was his review of an R80 Korean hot dog.
