A South African father's split-second response to an attempted hijacking outside his home has left the internet stunned after dash cam footage of the incident went viral on TikTok on 22 October 2026.

American TikToker Dylan Page, known for his commentary on viral news stories, reacted to the clip. He opened with disbelief:

"South Africa? What in the freaking John Wick kind of fathers are you manufacturing out there?"

The footage showed a father and his daughter driving out of their front gate when a vehicle pulled up and three men jumped out. The father, rather than freezing, immediately drew his own licensed firearm and returned fire, positioning himself between the attackers and his daughter. All three men were shot and killed.

@Julez added:

"He's not only saved his life and family but even the next victims. We thank you."
