“I Respect That Church”: KZN Woman Credits ZCC With Saving Her Life in TikTok Video

A KwaZulu-Natal TikToker has Mzansi sharing their personal stories after opening up about a dark chapter in her life. KaMangethe5 posted a video on 22 April 2026 telling her followers how the Zion Christian Church stepped in when all else had failed. She said she had been losing weight, felt herself fading, and had gone through multiple check-ups with no answers.

Her previous church tried to help her through rituals, but nothing brought any change. Doctors drew her blood and ran test after test, and still found nothing. She described a point where death felt very close, and she truly believed she was running out of time.

ZCC tea did what hospitals could not

It was her aunt, who had married into the ZCC, who changed everything. She encouraged @kaMangethe5 to travel to Moloto, in Mpumalanga to visit and experience the church for herself. Something shifted there. She said the church’s tea and warm water played a role in her recovery, and from that day on, everything turned around.

She was clear that she does not attend the ZCC and does not plan to. But she said her respect for that church is total. It helped her in a way that nothing else could.
