A young woman named Clarisa Minnaar showed her cringy text from a rugby player, who displayed overconfidence and thought he was the bee's knees. The WhatsApp message had many online viewers busting at the seams.

On 16 June, 2025, Clarisa posted a screenshot of the text from an unknown person on her TikTok account. All that was known was that the person was an athlete who couldn't handle rejection.

The message was written in Afrikaans, but the English translation read the following:

"Okay, but are you sure you don't want me? Remember, Clarisa, I'm a rugby player. Any dumb woman would fall for a man like me. I can put you in the spotlight."
