Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has a dream of opening up a soccer school in Mzansi. The 56-year-old spoke about an academic football school similar to the rugby schools in South Africa instead of owning a club in future.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach said he is grateful to Al Ahly as they have allowed him to continue with his school programme back in SA. He wants the academic level of his future soccer school to be high enough that parents want their children to go there.
He added that if he gets the money to open the school, he'll be waiting to do so.
A report by Sunday World stated that Mosimane was speaking to the South African Football Journalists Association adding that the coach said he did not have the money to buy a club.
Soccer Laduma reported that Al Ahly's match against Pyramids ended in a goalless draw on Tuesday evening. The Red Devils are at the top of the Egyptian Premier League log with 21 points.
In other soccer news, Briefly.co.za earlier reported that Orlando Pirates' Irvan Khoza turned 73 today. Orlando Pirates Twitter page and many other prominent SA football pages have taken some time to wish the chairman a happy birthday.
"Happy Birthday to our Chairman. #OrlandoPirates #OnceAlways," they captioned the heartwarming Twitter post.
Soon hundreds of locals were taking to the comment section to share birthday wishes with the businessman. While others took the time out to ask some football questions about their team, others simply said happy birthday. Read a few of their comments below:
