Lerato Kganyago Set to Host SAFTAs Alongside Lasizwe Dambuza

Mzansi radio personality Lerato Kganyago is gearing up to host the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) alongside social media influencer Lasizwe Dambuza. The SAFTA Twitter account announced this news on social media.
"Ready for a unique red carpet experience? Well, @Leratokganyago & @lasizwe are! We know these 2 dazzling dolls understand the assignment. Get ready for the #SAFTAs socially distanced red carpet experience," they said.
This year's SAFTA experience is themed 'Still Shining' and is going to be simulcast on SABC 3 and Mzansi Magic. The list of nominees has already been released and viewers are just waiting patiently to see who is going to bag the awards.

Lasizwe and Lerato Kganyago are not the only ones who will be hosting that evening. Dineo Langa, Graeme Richards and Mpho Popps will also be entertaining viewers for the night.
Lerato and Lasizwe will be handling the virtual red carpet and the award ceremony is set to take place on 21 May at 7pm. It will also be streaming to YouTube and will be hosted by Lesego Tlhabi and Tracy Lange.

Oprah took to social media to celebrate the Mzansi born actress after The Underground Railroad premiered on Amazon Prime on Friday, 14 March. The media personality took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the American series led by the South African stunner.
Oprah was not only impressed by the way award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins directed the show but was also impressed by Thuso's performance in the series.
"@thuso.mbedu gives the performance of a lifetime. Great things are coming for her and everyone will be saying her name after watching her as the superhero that is Cora," she said.
