Rapper Rouge feels bad because South African hip-hop is not doing as well as she thought it was. The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) nominations have been released and not a single hip-hop artist has been nominated in the category of Album of the Year.

Taking to social media, Rouge quoted a tweet from the SAMAs and said: "Yoh hip-hop," showing her dissatisfaction at the rap game not being good enough to get even a single nomination for the best album.

Rouge earlier said that she is planning on releasing an album this year and social media users are hoping that it will be a good one.

She didn't receive a nomination for a SAMA this year but perhaps her new album is going to bring her the glory she's looking for in music.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that Mzansi reacted to the SAMA hip-hop nominations. The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) have released their nominations and this includes the hip-hop category.

A lot of impressive albums were released last year so the competition was obviously going to be tough, but fans were not expecting the list that they saw. The 27th edition of the award ceremony is highly anticipated and the nominations are not really as expected.

The nominations for the best hip-hop album went to Boity, Yanga Chief, Nadia Nakai, Nasty C and Zakwe & Duncan. To say that Mzansi social media users were confused is an understatement because fans were shocked about who had been nominated.
