Siv Ngesi took to social media recently and shaded government officials who are corrupt. The TV personality suggested that stealing among government officials is not taken seriously as it should.
He shared that not wearing a face mask is seen as more of a criminal offence when compared to stealing by the politicians. The award-winning actor took to Twitter on Monday and wrote:
"In SA, not wearing a mask is seen as more of a criminal offence than it is when bloody government officials, blatantly steal from us."
Some of the star's fans agreed with him while others slammed his "careless"comments. Check out some of the reactions below:
"It's not theft, it's reparations."
"Wear a mask, we will deal with the government later."
"I hear of SAPS corruption and then the lights go out. I can’t anymore."
"Stealing PPE money."
"Pretty irresponsible thing to tweet with such a large platform tbh. Masklessness and corruption can both result in death. But we can only control one at an individual level. Please keep wearing masks regardless of government f**kery."
